FUE+FUT Combine Technique

Recently, especially in the internet obvious mistakes are evidently made in comparison of the two methods.

Many institutions who claim to have performed FUT for many years and state to be employing the FUE method at present, are making statements defaming the FUT method and exaggerating the benefits of the FUE method in order to commercially manipulate the patients.

Here is the actual truth : The only real difference between the FUT and the FUE methods is the way of removal of the hair grafts. We strongly emphasize that there does NOT exist any other difference between these two methods except for that.

FUT FUE

A strip of scale 1,5 x 15 – 20 cm size is removed. A slight liner marks whose size will depend on the suturring technique, the size of the strip removed and the elasticity of the hairy skin may remain

Hair grafts are received via millimetric punch needles. Not any visible signs remain. This is important for patients who prefer to have shortly cut hair.

There may be a sense of strain at the sutured site for while

No Sense of strain is experienced

Hair grafts from the donour site in between the two ears is implanted

Depending on the width of the bald region, hair follicles from other sites of the body may also be transplanted (Body Hai Transplantation)

4 to 5 months should intervene between two consecutive sessions

No sutures are stitched

Performing intense excercises is limited for about 10 to 15 days

Limits on performing intense exercises are minimized

The cost difference are minimized for the procedures performed in our institution

The cost differences are minimized for the procedures performed in our institution

We can implant upto 4500 grafts in one session (megasession) depending on the patient’s needs

We may implant up to 2000 hair grafts in one session depending on the patient’s needs

A sense of insensibility may be experienced at the sutuured site for a while

The sense of insensitivity is rare

More appropriate for higher grade of baldness in which more number of graft required (more than 2000)

More appropriate for lower grade for baldness in which lesser number of graft required (less than 2000)

More appropriate when donor site is small i.e. hair left less on the back side of head

More appropriate when donor site is large

More appropriate when multiple sittings are required to cover the bald area.

second sitting is always problematic, so not appropriate if more than 1 sitting is required
